I was born in Roanoke while my parents were at Virginia Tech, and I feel like I have "come home" to the Smith Mountain Lake area. My wife and I made life-changing decisions to leave successful sales careers in Richmond, Virginia, to become involved with the growing lake community. We are sold on the quality of life in Franklin County and believe it will be a wonderful place for our family to grow and prosper.
In 1992 I graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelors degree in management and a minor in geography. For the past seven years, I have been a top sales associate with a leading office furniture dealership in Richmond. My job involved meeting the needs of a diverse customer base through effective space planning, selling, budgeting, problem solving, and logistical coordination. I have decided to join Waterfront Properties, Smith Mountain Lake's premier real estate firm, to apply my knowledge and experience to real estate sales. My father and I have formed a real estate team to better serve our clients. I am also learning the details of the home building business first hand while building our new home at Waterfront Country Club. I have a son who is a sophomore at Franklin County High School and a newborn in January '05.
